"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth" (3 John 2 KJV).
"... I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well" (NIV).
Beloved,
I truly am of the conviction that you all are doing fine, and greet you in the Name above all names: JESUS CHRIST.
It may surprise you to see the extent to which God wants you to prosper. The prosperity of God is not limited to geography, to race, to gender or culture. Whether you are a man or a woman, God wants you to be successful. Whether you are black or white, God wants your conditions to thrive. The business men and women are destined to flourish in financial matters.
There's no geographic limitations to the extend in which God wants you to prosper. Under the influence of God, you can prosper in Paris as well as
in Port-Au-Prince. In
New-Orleans as well as in Niamey. In Brussels as well as in Belgrade. And in New York as well as in N'Djamena.
I did not say this to make you feel good. But you better feel good, anyway, because It's the truth about yourself on the mind of God.
God says He wishes above all other things, He dreams above all other things that ALL may go well with you. That You mayPROSPER in ALL you do. Amen. Let's see what the Bible tells us,
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth (3 John 2 KJV). That is God talking to you. That's God expressing His mind to you.
And what does He wish for you again? That You may PROSPER. So we see that prosperity is sort of God's highest wish for us.
But to what extend should we prosper then? Let's look at the answer from His Word again. It says, "... I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well" (3 John 2 NIV).
Did you see the answer right there staring at you? It says that we are to prosper in everything we do, in ALL things, it says.
So God desires "...that all may go well with you." All means all, you know! Not one or two things but all. Not just your finances
but all; not just your marriage but all; not just your children but in all other areas too. All means all that is yours. Amen! This is unlimited so to say. It's an unlimited scope of prosperity.
Isn't God a good God, beloved? Someone who so cares about you? wishing you to prosper
progressively? He should be a Good God. Shouldn't He? His will for you is to have you experience an unlimited prosperity and not a sporadic prosperity.
Let me ask you child of God. Are you living in prosperity? How progressive is that prosperity? Is it sporadic or constant? Is it permanent or temporal? Is it steady or unsteady?
There is no limitation in the extent to which God wants you to prosper. Please, say this together with me,
"God's highest wish for me is to prosper me in all I do." Say it one more time "God's highest wish for me is to prosper me in all I do." I believe you are getting the truth, now.
Would you mind if I asked you to read that verse all over again"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Thanks so much. Now take a pause for a while and think about what you've just read.
What have you realized? Have you realized that your unlimited prosperity is related and connected to the prosperity of your soul? In fact, the prosperity of your soul is the root of your unlimited prosperity. Let's read that verse again,
" ... I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." What does the last phrase say? It says, "even as your soul is getting along well." Or "even as thy soul prospers" (KJV).
Did you see that the prosperity of your soul is vital to the prosperity in other areas? So God wants you to get along well in all areas of life because your soul is getting along well. God wants you to prosper in all areas because your soul is prospering as well. Of course, your soul must prosper because the prosperity in other areas is tied up to the prosperity of your soul.
Should we read it again? Let's go, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." Even as thy soul does what? Even as thy soul prospers. Great!
It's true that the prosperity of your health is connected to the prosperity of your soul. The prosperity of your business is connected to the prosperity of your soul. The prosperity of your studies is connected to the prosperity of your soul. The prosperity of good politics is connected to the prosperity of your soul. The prosperity of your job, your church, your ministry is connected to the prosperity of your soul. Are you still with me?
It's true that man is a spirit which has a soul and lives in the body. And the soul prospers because the spirit prospers. You see, the soul spoken here in that particular verse of the bible refers to the spirit; the human spirit, your spirit. God wants your spirit to prosper. But the only way your spirit, your soul, can prosper is when it's fed with food. Oh No, I don't mean physical food like McDonald's or rice & beans. Rather, I mean spiritual food.
There's what the Bible calls "spiritual food" which is the Word of God, (Matthew 4:4;John 6:27). The Word of God is the food needed to feed our soul. The Word of God is the food needed to cause our soul to prosper. It is the food needed to trigger an unlimited prosperity. And our soul needs this spiritual food, the Bible, on a daily basis, just as the physical body needs food on a daily basis.
Therefore, we still have a responsibility to feed our soul daily with the Word of God in order to trigger for ourselves an unlimited prosperity, wished by God.
May the Lord Almighty do for you what He has promised you in His Word, the Bible. And may you prosper in all you do and stay blessed as you read God's Word daily, nourishing the root of your prosperity. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We so much love you in Christ and unfailingly pray for you all.
